Domiciliary Care Assistant (NO TRAVEL AS ALL ON-SITE) - Bank

£12.00 per hour - Paid breaks
Bank. Various flexible hours which could include 08:00am-20:00pm, 08:00am-14:00pm, 14:00pm-20:00pm and 16:00-20:00pm weekdays & weekends depending on business needs and subject to change. Additionally, on some occasions, nights may be required 20:00pm-08:00am

As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, your role is to help residents make the most of life, and in exchange, we will support you in reaching your full career potential. We are currently seeking Assistants at various levels to provide domiciliary, residential, nursing, and dementia care services as needed. Our Domiciliary Care Assistants are the spark that ignites the spirit of our award-winning retirement village. Their enthusiasm and gentle care raise spirits, turning every moment into a cause for joy.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
While no two days are the same, as we adapt to the needs of our residents across the village. Typical duties include:
Assisting residents with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and continence care in their own homes within the Village. Providing high standards of care, championing dignity and independence.
Supporting at mealtimes; serving meals in residents' apartments or within the care home. This may involve helping them walk, transfer in a wheelchair, or using a hoist.
Promoting mental and physical activity through hobbies, interests, or activities within the village.
Responding to emergency calls when the care alert system is activated.
Collaborating with the Domiciliary Care Manager and external professionals such as GPs, Chiropodists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation of care provided, activities, and health changes.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
Experience in a care or dementia setting, or a Level 2/3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), is beneficial. However, a passion for caring, honoring residents' choices, and prioritizing safety and well-being is essential. You should be an excellent listener, optimistic, confident in engaging with residents and families, and committed to confidentiality. You will provide care with dignity and empathy, striving to bring joy to residents daily.
