Avon Search is seeking a Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide compassionate, person-centred care in clients’ own homes in Dorking, Surrey. The role focuses on independence, dignity and quality of life, with a reliable, team-oriented approach.

You will work 36 hours per week, 36 hours at £15.11–£16.61 per hour, in a caring, not-for-profit environment that supports ongoing training and professional development.

The care team takes the time to understand each individual’s unique needs, preferences and personality, ensuring that support is tailored around the person rather than simply following a routine.

The Role

As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

You will build trusting relationships with the people you support and provide practical assistance with their day-to-day needs, while encouraging independence wherever possible.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Providing compassionate care and support within service users’ own homes
• Supporting individuals with personal care and daily living activities
• Assisting with washing, dressing and personal hygiene
• Supporting mobility and maintaining independence
• Providing support with meals, hydration and nutrition
• Offering companionship and emotional support
• Supporting individuals to access the local community where required
• Encouraging service users to remain active and independent
• Following individual care plans and risk assessments
• Monitoring and reporting any changes in health or wellbeing
• Maintaining accurate and confidential care records
• Working closely with colleagues, families and other professionals
• Promoting dignity, choice, privacy and respect at all times

About You
