Job description

The Frank Chapman Centre is a residential outdoor education centre located in the Wyre Forest, Bewdley, Worcestershire.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, flexible, and hardworking individual to join our domestic and kitchen support team. The role involves delivering various catering and domestic support services to school residential and visiting groups.

The centre is part of the Sandwell Residential Education Service (SRES), which comprises four centres across Shropshire, Staffordshire, and North Wales, managed by Sandwell Council.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform kitchen and domestic tasks as required throughout the centre.
• Maintain awareness of food hygiene, allergen awareness, and health & safety principles.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Be enthusiastic, friendly, flexible, and self-motivated.
• Clean the centre to a high standard, including deep cleaning according to a specified rota.
• Prepare dormitories and bedrooms appropriately for visitors.

An enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role.

Hours and Contract Details:

10.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hours are negotiable.

This is a permanent, term-time contract plus two weeks, offering benefits such as paid holidays and a pension scheme. The position is with a local authority.
