Pertemps is seeking an experienced Domestic Heating Engineer to join our established plumbing and heating team in South East London and North Kent. The role is permanent, PAYE, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with a salary up to £45,000 depending on experience.

You will handle a varied range of domestic heating tasks, service boilers, diagnose faults, install and replace boilers, and carry out landlord gas safety checks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as a domestic Heating Engineer
• Gas Safe Registration with relevant domestic qualifications
• Strong knowledge of domestic boilers and central heating systems
• Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience with Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi and Ideal boilers is desirable.

Experienced Heating Engineer looking for a stable, long-term role?

We’re looking for an experienced Gas Safe Registered Domestic Heating Engineer to join an established and growing plumbing and heating business covering South East London and North Kent.

With over 40 years in the industry, we have built a strong reputation for quality workmanship, excellent customer service and looking after our people.

This is a permanent PAYE position, working Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with a salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience.

The Role

You'll carry out a varied mix of domestic heating work, including:

• Boiler servicing and maintenance


• Breakdown diagnosis and fault finding


• Boiler repairs and component replacement


• Boiler installations and replacements


• Central heating repairs and fault finding


• Landlord Gas Safety Checks


• Boiler commissioning and testing


• Planned preventative maintenance


• Identifying additional remedial works


• Providing professional advice to customers

You'll manage your own jobs while working closely with our Operations team to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an engineer who is technically strong, reliable and takes pride in their work.

You’ll need:

• 3+ years' experience as a domestic Heating Engineer


• Current Gas Safe Registration with relevant domestic qualifications


• Strong knowledge of domestic boilers and central heating systems


• Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills


• Proven experience in boiler servicing, repairs and installations


• A good understanding of gas safety and health & safety requirements


• Excellent attention to detail


• Strong communication and customer service skills


• The ability to work independently and manage your workload


• A full UK driving licence

Experience with Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi and Ideal boilers is desirable.

Experience with unvented hot water systems, heating upgrades and system installations would also be advantageous.

You’ll receive:

• Up to £45,000 salary, depending on experience


• Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm


• Callout – one day a week rather than a full 7 days with standby and labour costs for works completed.


• Fully expensed company van and fuel card


• Overtime available - Time and a half for weekday evenings and Saturdays, Time and a third for Sundays and Bank Holidays


• Company phone, uniform, PPE and specialist tools provided


• Local patch with minimal travel
