First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Domestic Gas Operative to join their team. Location: South East London - Field Based (Office in Croydon).

You will service, repair and attend breakdowns of gas appliances and central heating systems, diagnose faults, perform Power Flushing, and ensure proper documentation. A full driving licence and ACS qualifications are required. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• ACS qualifications - CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, (CENWAT), CKR1, HTR1 & CPA1
• Energy efficiency knowledge
• DAH1, Unvented Hot Water, WRAS understanding (desirable)
• Asbestos Awareness training
• First Aid/Height Handling training (desirable)
• Full driving licence

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and attend breakdowns of gas appliances and central heating systems.
• Fault diagnose and repair boilers and central heating components.
• Undertake Power Flushing of heating systems.
• Ensure security and operation of equipment and accurate documentation.
• Communicate with customers about operation and servicing of gas appliances.
• Work to deadlines and coordinate with managers and customers on schedules.
• Perform other duties as requested by leadership.

JR347 - Domestic Gas Operative

Location: South East London - Field Based (Office in Croydon)

Salary: Up to £45,614 Per Annum

First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Domestic Gas Operative to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Your main duties will include servicing, general repairs/maintenance, and attending breakdowns of gas appliances and central heating systems at client premises, in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and industry standards.
• To be competent in fault diagnosis and repair of modern and traditional boilers, and to be able to carry out repairs to central heating systems, including fitting new pumps, motorised valves, radiators and pipework adaptations as necessary.
• To undertake Power Flushing of heating systems.
• To ensure the security and correct operation of all work equipment supplied, including vehicles, tools, flue gas analysis meters, and mobile data equipment.
• To ensure all Certification and Documentation is recorded accurately and in good time.
• To have a sound knowledge of Customer Care and to possess the ability to deal with potentially impatient or angry tenants while being able to cope with the emotional demands that dealing with such situations may create.
• To be willing and able to work as part of a team yet demonstrate independent initiative in dealing with situations arising and completing tasks.
• To communicate effectively with customers when explaining the correct operation of gas appliances and the importance of regular servicing of gas appliances.
• The ability to work to deadlines and timescales and liaise with managers and customers regarding changes to schedules or appointments.
• Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Leadership Team.

Skills and Qualifications

• ACS qualifications - minimum of CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, (CENWAT), CKR1, HTR1 & CPA1
• Energy Efficiency
• DAH1, Unvented Hot Water, WRAS (water supply regulations 1999) Desirable
• Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training
• Certificate of Training Achievement for Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid (1-Day), or other. Desirable
• Full driving licence
