Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Domestic Gas Engineer role based in Derby. The Domestic Gas Engineer will carry out boiler installations, servicing, fault‑finding, and repairs in domestic properties, ensuring safe and efficient operation of gas appliances and central heating systems. Daily tasks include attending scheduled and emergency callouts, diagnosing issues, completing maintenance work, and documenting all activities in line with company and regulatory standards. The role also involves supporting electrical and plumbing services related to heating systems, advising customers on best practices and care plans, and maintaining a professional and safety‑conscious approach on every job.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in central heating systems, including installation, servicing, and diagnostics.
• Demonstrated skills in plumbing related to domestic heating and hot water systems.
• Experience in LPG work and safe handling of gas installations where applicable.
• Competence in building maintenance, with a focus on maintenance and repair of heating equipment and associated infrastructure.
• Current Gas Safe registration and relevant domestic gas qualifications (e.g., CCN1, CENWAT or equivalent).
• Proven ability to work safely, follow regulations, and complete accurate job records and reports.
• Good communication and customer service skills, with a professional and respectful approach in clients’ homes.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally across Derby and surrounding areas.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload, and respond to urgent callouts when required.
