Job summary

Sphere Solutions is recruiting a Gas Engineer to join a local authority housing services team in Chesterfield. You will service, repair and fault diagnose domestic gas appliances in tenanted and void properties, perform safety checks, and log all work on a handheld device.

A friendly, professional approach with tenants is essential. The role is on a temporary contract until April 2027, with a company van provided and the option for overtime and out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registration is required.
• Full domestic ACS qualification required.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Solid experience servicing and repairing domestic gas appliances.

A broken boiler in a family home isn't a minor inconvenience; it's a cold house and a worried tenant. You'll be the Gas Engineer in Chesterfield who turns up, finds the fault and gets things running again safely.

We're recruiting on behalf of a local authority housing services team, looking for a Gas Engineer to join their property services team in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. You'll work across tenanted and void social housing properties on a temporary contract until April 2027, with the opportunity of a permanent role for the right person.

THE ROLE

• Working in tenanted and void social housing properties across the area


• Carrying out servicing, repairs and fault diagnosis on domestic gas appliances


• Completing safety checks and keeping accurate compliance records


• Logging jobs and paperwork on a handheld device


• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
