Job summary

3D Personnel Ltd is seeking a Domestic Electrician to work on a prison site in Millom (LA18 4NA). The role runs Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with a pay range of £21.50–£25.50 PAYE and a full-time temporary basis with potential permanency.

Security vetting is required due to location. Responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining electrical installations in domestic properties, replacing circuits, and performing rewiring as needed while complying with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2391 inspection and testing or equivalent.
• 17th Edition wiring regulations compliant.
• NVQ/Part 2 or equivalent installation certificate.
• Desirable Part P qualification and PAT testing knowledge.
• Awareness of asbestos safety and required training.
• Prepared to undertake driving duties and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect electrical installations in domestic properties per IEE regs.
• Maintain and repair electrical installations per regulations.
• Replace circuits/consumer units and perform rewiring as needed.
• Comply with Health and Safety policies and statutory law.
• Adhere to company safety and operational policies.
• Follow directives from management and coordination team.
• Carry out repairs/testing in occupied and vacant properties.
• Participate in out-of-hours callouts per rota.

DOMESTIC ELECTRICIAN

3D Personnel are currently recruiting for a Domestic Electrician to work within a Prison in Millom LA18 4NA

The Role

Monday to Friday
8am to 5pm
From £21.50 - £25.50 paye
Full time temporary with a potential permanent opportunity.
Security vetting due to location of the work.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Test and inspect electrical installations in domestic properties in accordance with the 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations, as amended from time to time.
• Maintain and repair electrical installations in accordance with the relevant regulations.
• Replace circuits and consumer units, including the full rewiring of properties.
• Comply with Company Health and Safety Policy, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and other statutory legislation.
• Strictly adhere to company health and safety and operational policies.
• Comply with instructions and directives from line management and the Central Coordination Team.
• Carry out electrical repairs and testing in both occupied and vacant properties.
• Undertake out-of-hours callout duties in accordance with rota requirements.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds (C&G) 2391 Inspection and Testing, or equivalent C&G 2394 & 2395.
• C&G 2382 - 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations.
• C&G Installation Certificate 2360 / 2351, or equivalent Part 2 or NVQ.
• C&G 2393 - Desirable Part P Qualification.
• Asbestos Awareness Training.
• C&G 2377 - PAT Testing Course.
• Current full UK driving licence
