Job summary

iFM Bolton Ltd, a Bolton NHS Foundation Trust subsidiary, is seeking Domestic Assistants on a permanent basis to join our hospital and community health center cleaning teams. The role focuses on delivering high standards of cleanliness across patient rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and public areas, with an emphasis on patient and staff comfort.

Responsibilities

• Carry out floor cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and wet pickup.
• Handle kitchen duties such as cleaning surfaces and appliances and waste removal.
• Clean sanitary areas and replenish soap, towels and toilet rolls.
• Assist with bed area cleaning and dusting of furniture as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, stairs, lifts and circulation areas including fire equipment and telephones.

Job description

Duties will include all or some of the following tasks depending on the allocated work area:

• Floor cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, wet pickup, spray cleaning and buffing.
• Kitchen duties including removal of refuse, cleaning of all surfaces and cleaning of cookers/counters/refrigerators.
• Cleaning of sanitary areas including toilets, basins, bidets, baths and showers. Replenishment of supplies of soap, paper towels and toilet rolls and collection and removal of rubbish.
• Bed Area duties such as damp dusting of bed top, bottom and underneath. Damp dusting of low ledges and high dusting and cleaning of furniture.
• Corridors, Stairs, Lift and Circulation Areas: Floor cleaning including skirting's and/or covings, damp dusting of fire equipment, wall telephones and telephone booths.
