Job summary

Roseberry Care is seeking a dedicated Domestic Cleaner for The Evergreens in Forest Hall, Newcastle. The role covers daily cleaning across resident rooms and shared spaces to maintain high hygiene standards and a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.

You will join a welcoming team, with competitive pay and ongoing training, in a network of 25 homes. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience, preferably in a care or healthcare setting.
• Understanding of cleanliness standards in a residential care environment.
• Respectful, compassionate, and considerate when working around vulnerable adults.
• Physical ability for manual tasks and to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas (lounges, dining rooms, hallways).
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures per care home policies.
• Dispose of waste safely per health regulations.
• Restock cleaning supplies and inform management of low inventory.
• Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
• Participate in role-related training (e.g. COSHH, safeguarding, infection control).

Your Role

As a Domestic Cleaner you will be a vital member of the team maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for daily cleaning tasks across bedrooms, communal areas, and care facilities while ensuring high standards of hygiene are maintained.

You’ll Be Responsible For
