Based at: Barberry Centre (plus various locations as required)
Post: 37.5hrs per week (Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm)

To provide a high quality domestic service throughout the designated area/service, maintaining a clean and safe environment that assists in ensuring a positive service user experience and reflects the values of the organisation.
Responsible for providing a mobile Rapid Response service to a high standard of cleanliness to all Birmingham and Solihull inpatient and community units, under the supervision of the domestic supervisor. Including the safe use of mechanical and electrical equipment following appropriate training.
At SSL, we work in partnership with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT), to deliver facilities management, transport and other support services to over 50 sites across the West Midlands.
Our team keeps expanding and since our establishment in 2012, we have grown rapidly through the acquisition of new sites and services.

The health and safety of our staff is our top priority. We partner with our occupational health provider to check/offer vaccinations for Hepatitis B, Tetanus, Polio, Diphtheria, Measles, Mumps, and rubella (MMR) Varicella, Bacillus Calmette-Gurin (BCG) in line with recommended best practices for healthcare settings.
All staff are expected to support the Trust in meeting its Green objectives, being responsible and considerate with regards to all 'resources' used and acting to minimise waste (e.g. products purchased, miles travelled, or power used). The Trust is mandated to meet national carbon net zero targets and is being performance managed towards that achievement.
