Aurem Care is seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to help ensure residents enjoy a clean, hygienic, and homely environment daily. You will uphold infection control standards, use PPE properly, and support the housekeeping team with a caring approach to residents.

Role offers bank/flexible hours, competitive pay, and development opportunities including apprenticeships and training. Right to work in the UK is required.

About the Role

Our Domestic Assistants are essential members of the care home team. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the home, helping to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
• Follow all infection prevention and control procedures.
• Adhere to COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately at all times.
• Respect the privacy, dignity, and individual needs of residents.
• Re-stock cleaning trolleys and maintain clean, organised storage areas.
• Support the wider housekeeping team with additional duties as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Be reliable, hardworking, and take pride in your work.
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Have good communication and organisational skills.
• Be able to prioritise tasks effectively and work efficiently.
• Demonstrate a caring and respectful approach towards older people.
