Job summary

Aurem Care is seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our care home team and help ensure residents enjoy a clean, hygienic, and homely environment every day.

You will play a key role in maintaining high cleanliness standards and infection control throughout the home, supporting staff and ensuring residents’ comfort and safety. 21 hours per week, shifts 8:00am–3:00pm, with weekend rota and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Reliable, hardworking and proud of your work.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Able to prioritise tasks effectively and work efficiently.
• Caring and respectful approach towards older people.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
• Follow all infection prevention and control procedures.
• Adhere to COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately at all times.
• Respect the privacy, dignity, and individual needs of residents.
• Re-stock cleaning trolleys and maintain clean, organised storage areas.
• Support the wider housekeeping team with additional duties as required.

About the Role

Our Domestic Assistants are essential members of the care home team. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the home, helping to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

What We Offer

Working Hours
