Job summary

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a Domestic Assistant at Ayrshire Central Hospital. The role is permanent and requires working 6 hours per week across Saturday and Sunday mornings.

You will perform housekeeping and cleaning duties to a high standard within the Domestic Services Department. Full training will be provided to support safe and efficient work in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment or working in healthcare settings is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
• Applicants should be physically fit and understand the importance of cleanliness in healthcare.

Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Assistant based at Ayrshire Central Hospital. This post is offered on a permanent basis.

Hours

6 Hours per week
Saturday & Sunday 9am 12pm

What You Will Do

Working within the Domestic Services Department you will undertake a variety of housekeeping/cleaning duties which are carried out to a high standard.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post

Working within the Domestic Services Department you will undertake a variety of housekeeping/cleaning duties. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment or working within a healthcare setting, would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given. The ability to work on both your own initiative and as part of a team and good communication skills are essential.

Applicants should be physically fit, understand the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare environment.

Priorities can change due to staffing and activity in the North Sector premises, and a degree of flexibility is required.

Full training will be provided.

• Compulsory that any new staff to Ayrshire and Arran complete Corporate Induction followed by local induction.
