Job summary

Avante Care & Support Ltd is hiring a cleaner for Barnes Lodge Care Home. You will keep resident areas clean, uphold hygiene, and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere in a friendly care home environment managed by Avante Care & Support Ltd.

Role includes full-time hours with occasional weekend shifts and a pay of £12.75 per hour. Training, DBS check, uniform, pension, and wellbeing support accompany a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is a bonus—but not essential.
• Basic understanding of hygiene standards (or willingness to learn).
• Reliable, organised, and take pride in your work.
• Respectful, caring, and mindful of working in a resident's home.
• A team player who can also work independently.

Responsibilities

• Keep resident rooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces clean and inviting.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control.
• Follow cleaning schedules and best practices.
• Replenish supplies and report maintenance issues.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for residents, visitors, and colleagues.
• Work in line with health & safety and care home policies.
