Band 2 Domestic Assistant
We currently have vacancies for Domestic Assistants to work as part of the Domestic Team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust at Stepping Hill Hospital. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our current 204-strong team, who are passionate about delivering a quality cleaning and decontamination service.
As this is a public-facing service, we seek individuals who enjoy customer interaction and can adapt to a changing and sometimes challenging environment. Our service covers wards, departments, and office areas across the site.
This position primarily involves cleaning hospital corridors, stairs, and other public areas using ride-on scrubber driers and other floor machines.
We use the latest cleaning equipment and materials. We also offer development opportunities through apprenticeships and NVQ programs.
The Shift Hours Are
Monday - Friday 04:00 - 12:00
To work as part of the Facilities Management operational team, responsible for providing comprehensive support services within the hospital environment.
This involves carrying out general cleaning within the hospital, including clinical and patient areas such as the emergency department, theatres, wards, and non-clinical areas. You will be trained to work in various areas as needed.
We aim to provide a high-quality, responsive, efficient, and effective patient support service to wards and departments within Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, acting professionally and caring, and meeting the National Cleaning Standards.
