Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Domestic Assistant for our Christchurch View service in Northampton. You will join an on-site domestic team, cleaning and maintaining premises to a high standard while providing good customer care in a caring environment.

Full-time, with DBS clearance required. Training and development opportunities are available through the Active Learning Hub and other programs.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
• Previous experience as a Housekeeper from healthcare or domestic cleaning backgrounds.
• Experience working unsupervised and on your own initiative.
• Enhanced DBS is required for successful candidates.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the on-site domestic team to maintain a high standard of upkeep.
• General cleaning of premises including floors, sinks, toilets, wash basins, baths and surfaces using designated equipment and re-stocking materials.
• Carry out periodic cleaning such as corridors, walls, windows and carpets using appropriate machines/tools.
• Follow correct usage, storage and care of cleaning equipment and COSHH procedures.
• Ensure a smart appearance in the company uniform and provide high levels of customer care.
• Complete all statutory and mandatory training, delivered in person or via e-learning.

What you'll be working:

• £12.89 per hour

What you'll be doing:

• Work as part of the on site domestic team ensuring a high standard of upkeep is achieved and maintained
• General cleaning of premises including floors, sinks, toilets, wash hand basins, baths, work showers, surfaces, cupboards etc. using designated equipment and re-stocking materials as required
• Carry out periodic cleaning, such as corridor walls, windows and carpets using the appropriate machines/tools
• Correct usage, storage and care of cleaning equipment, adhering to COSHH procedures
• Ensure a smart appearance wearing the company uniform provided
• Provide high levels of Customer Care at all time
• Complete all statutory and mandatory training, whether it be delivered face-to-face or via e-learning, deemed relevant to their role

What you'll have:

• A genuine interest in working within a caring environment
• Previous experience as a Housekeeper from either a Healthcare or Domestic cleaning background
• Experience working unsupervised and on your own initiative
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
