Job Opportunity: Domestic Assistant at Motherwell Health Centre

We have an exciting opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join our team at Motherwell Health Centre. The post holder will provide domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment that meets NHS Lanarkshire and Hospital Acquired Infections standards.

This role involves supporting new staff and working alongside the team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

What We Need From You

• Knowledge of cleaning standards and procedures.
• Ability to undertake on-the-job training and induction (4-6 weeks) to achieve full competency.
• Understanding of Health & Safety, including risk assessments.
• Completion of NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training and mandatory Health Care Support Worker standards.
• Completion of the NHSS Domestic Services Workbook.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well with others in a team and in a busy environment.
• Basic knowledge of information technology.

Please note: A full UK/EU/EEA driving license is required if the role necessitates driving.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• Recognized SVQ or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in domestic services or cleaning environments.
• Ability to operate electrical cleaning equipment.

Contract Details

Permanent, Part-Time (15.8 hours per week). Salary will be pro-rata.

Location and Working Pattern

This role is based in the PSSD Hotel Services department within Motherwell Health Centre. The working hours are: 16:45-20:00 Monday-Thursday and 16:30-19:17 on Friday.
