Domestic Assistant at NHS Lanarkshire

We have an exciting opportunity for a domestic assistant to join our team at Hunter Health Centre.

The successful candidate will provide domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire (NHSL) premises through effective and efficient methods, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment that meets NHSL and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards. You will also work alongside and support new staff in the working environment.

What We Need from You

• Knowledge of cleaning standards and procedures.
• Willingness to undertake on-the-job training and induction (generally 4-6 weeks) to achieve full competency.
• Understanding of Health & Safety, including risk assessments.
• Completion of NHS Lanarkshire's compulsory training and mandatory Health Care Support Worker standards.
• Completion of NHSS Domestic Services Workbook.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to perform tasks effectively in a busy environment.
• Basic knowledge of information technology.

Please note: a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence is required where applicable.

Contract Details

This is a permanent, part-time position working 16.10 hours per week. The salary will be prorated accordingly.

Location and Working Pattern

This role is based in the PSSD Department within Hunter Health Centre. The working hours are: Monday-Thursday 17:45-21:00 and Friday 17:45-20:51. Applicants may be considered for similar roles in other locations.
