Job description

Woodlands Care Centre are recruiting into their housekeeping team, for Domestic and Laundry Assistants.

The main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure that the removal of all waste is in accordance with the agreed procedures.
  • Clean all floor areas, damp dust, and conduct thorough cleaning of all furniture, fixtures and fittings (moving light equipment if necessary).
  • Clean all sanitary areas.
  • Clean internal paintwork, doors, window frames, skirting boards, etc.
  • Abide by all COSHH regulations, colour coding and clean and store all domestic equipment in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Adhere to the cleaning schedule. Work as part of a team, attending staff meetings and training if required.
  • Respect client independence, privacy and dignity.
  • Maintain appropriate records accurately.
  • Foster good working relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with all grades of staff.
  • Maintain both business and client confidentiality.
  • Take care of the building and report any defects or repairs.
  • Carry out deep cleaning throughout the home as required.
  • Adhere to IP&C regulations.
  • Before the end of shift, check that all floors have sufficient linen (towels, bedding, etc.).
