£13.15 per hour, 32.5 hours per week

We are seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the Medirest team. You will deliver cleaning services for patients, visitors, and staff at the hospital.

As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in infection control, helping to keep the hospital operational. This isn't just any cleaning job; it's one that makes a real difference.

Shift pattern:

• Mon: Weekends only
• Tues: Weekends only
• Weds: Weekends only
• Thurs: Weekends only
• Fri: Weekends only
• Sat: Weekends only
• Sun: Weekends only

Responsibilities include:

• Dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces
• Cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, and public areas
• Maintaining and removing rubbish bins
• Ensuring all areas are clean, presentable, and safe following policies and procedures
• Using equipment safely following health & safety guidelines

Requirements:

• Passion for patient care and effective communication with patients, visitors, and staff
• Ability to work under pressure, individually and in a team, with flexibility
• Comfort working in a hospital environment, understanding that you may encounter unwell or distressed patients
• No previous experience as a Domestic Assistant is required; pride in your work and willingness to learn are important
• This role is subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check, with costs covered by the employer
