We are seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the Medirest team, providing outstanding cleaning services for patients, visitors, and staff at the hospital.

As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in infection control, helping the hospital operate smoothly and deliver vital medical services. This is more than just cleaning; it's a role that truly makes a difference.

Shift patterns will vary, including:

• Dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces.
• Cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, and public areas.
• Maintaining and emptying rubbish bins.
• Ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and presentable following hospital policies and procedures.
• Using cleaning equipment safely and in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about patient care and can communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Can work under pressure, independently and as part of a team, with flexibility.
• Is comfortable working in a hospital environment and interacting with unwell or distressed patients.
• No previous experience as a Domestic Assistant is required; what matters most is pride in your work and a willingness to learn.
• This role is subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check, with costs covered by the employer.
