Job summary

White House Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, seeks a Domestic Assistant in Letchworth. The role focuses on cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high hygiene standards, with laundry support and careful handling of belongings.

You will follow infection control procedures and work with the team to maintain a welcoming, comfortable environment that supports wellbeing and dignity for residents. DBS, pension and uniforms are provided, with generous leave for full-time staff.

Job description

A purpose-built, luxury care home positioned within the quiet residential area of Letchworth Garden City. We provide Residential, Nursing, Respite and Dementia care for 50-residents.

Domestic Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
