Your role as a Domestic Assistant is crucial in infection control, helping to keep the hospital safe and operational. This is not just any cleaning job; it’s a position where your work directly contributes to patient care and safety.

Shift Patterns

• Relief coverage with flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces
• Cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, and public areas
• Maintaining and emptying rubbish bins
• Ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and presentable according to hospital standards
• Following health & safety guidelines when using equipment

Candidate Requirements

• Effective communication skills with patients, visitors, and staff
• Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a hospital environment, including with unwell or distressed patients
• No previous experience necessary; pride in your work and willingness to learn are most important
• Position is subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check (costs covered by employer)
