Domestic & Commercial Gas Engineer (Education Authority - Armagh)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Domestic & Commercial Gas Engineer to join our clients team, supporting remedial maintenance works across Education Authority schools and colleges throughout Armagh and the surrounding region. This is a secure, long-term role offering a 37.5-hour week, a company van, and regular local travel within a stable public-sector maintenance contract.

THE IDEAL PERSON
  • Domestic gas certificates (CCN1 + appliances) with commercial gas tickets desirable
  • Experience carrying out remedial repairs on gas boilers, heating systems and associated pipework
  • Strong fault-finding ability and confidence working independently
  • An understanding of compliance within public-sector or FM environments
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence

Engineers with domestic qualifications looking to step further into commercial work are welcome to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Undertaking remedial repairs and corrective works on domestic and commercial gas systems
  • Replacing components, repairing faults and resolving issues identified during inspections
  • Supporting the safe operation of heating systems across schools and colleges
  • Maintaining accurate job sheets, compliance records and paperwork
  • Ensuring all work meets Gas Safety, H&S and contract requirements
  • Liaising with Totalis engineers, helpdesk and site staff to ensure smooth delivery
REMUNERATION
  • £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
  • 37.5-hour working week
