Job summary

Isle of Wight Council is seeking a full-time DoLS Coordinator in Newport to cover maternity leave for 14 months. The role is based in the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team and offers a salary of £27,711 to £29,071 per annum, 37 hours per week, and a fixed-term contract.

You will manage DoLS enquiries, requests, and assessments, develop IT systems, analyse data for local and national returns, and oversee vendor processes such as purchase orders and invoices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Care Act, MCA Act, Mental Health Act and DoLS framework.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage complex spreadsheets.
• Experience with Adult Social Care systems and developing administrative systems.
• GCSE Maths and English at A-C / 4-9 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage DoLS enquiries, DoLS requests, and allocation for assessments.
• Oversee authorisations and termination of DoLS as needed.
• Develop and maintain IT systems to support day-to-day work.
• Collect and analyse data for local and national data returns.
• Manage external vendor processes including purchase orders and invoices.
