Job description

Join to apply for the Documentation Controller role at Virtual Bridges.

We have an exciting opportunity to join a longstanding client's team in their new location in Port Talbot as a Materials Documentation Controller. The working hours are Monday to Wednesday, 7.30am-5.30pm, Thursday, 7.30am-5pm, with a non-working day on Friday. There is potential for a company bonus if profitable, and holidays start from 24 days per annum.

The main responsibility of this role is to ensure that material and test certifications comply with company, legislative, and customer requirements, as well as consolidating relevant documentation into customer packs.

You will also be tasked with reducing customer certification complaints year over year. A key KPI will be to collaborate with the Inspection and Stores Team to ensure inspection items remain below 50 at all times.

You will report to the Quality Manager and work alongside other team members, suppliers, supply chain, and production.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
  2. Follow all company health & safety and fire regulations during duties.
  3. Generate and maintain Material Data Sheets.
  4. Attend internal meetings and communicate concerns to the Departmental Manager.
  5. Support system and process development, and introduce improvements.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned, in discussion with the Departmental Manager.
You Will Have
  1. Manufacturing experience.
  2. Working knowledge of Access-based systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  3. Proven experience in a Quality Assurance role with good numeracy skills.
  4. Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills.
