Job description

Are you a Documental Controller from construction, engineering, or manufacturing background?

Do you have attention to details and have played a critical role in keeping accurate and up-to-date documentation? Or are you someone who enjoys organizing, liaising, and making sure that documents comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations?

If so, I have an exciting full-time opportunity to be on-site Monday to Friday and witness an incredible project in front of your eyes!

Bouygues Travaux Publics (TP) and Laing O'Rourke, two of Europe's most dynamic engineering and construction specialists, are working together in a joint venture named BYLOR to deliver the main civil engineering works at Hinkley Point C (HPC) worth over £2.8 billion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide an information management service in a conscientious and timely manner.
  • Undertake accurate quality checks on all incoming and outgoing documentation.
  • Control the issue and distribution of confidential project information in accordance with Document Control Plan.
  • Ensure all documentation is correctly authorized and accepted in line with CDT.
  • Ensure documents and deviations are readily retrievable through correct assignment of metadata, folder use, and title descriptions.
  • Support LOD preparation, review code allocation, and title make-up.
  • Manage the maintenance of the C&DT for Team and corresponding Asite distribution lists.
  • Maintain hard copy master file with latest versions of project documentation in accordance with project requirements.
  • Ensure correct templates are used by Staff and Suppliers.
  • Provide Document Control training, help, and support to all project users.
  • Provide reports on metrics in accordance with project requirements.
  • Ensure as-built records are readily retrievable through correct assignment of metadata.
Experience Requirements
  • Relevant experience delivering related support in a project-based environment/team.
  • Detail-oriented with a good understanding of document management processes and systems.
  • Ability to work within a high-performing team and to take initiative, working effectively and efficiently.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to maintain strong relationships with key internal & external stakeholders.
  • A good level of computer literacy.
Additional Information

All positions with Bylor are employed directly with either Laing O'Rourke or Bouygues Travaux Public and include competitive salaries, private medical insurance, company pension schemes, and annual holiday allowance. Some grades will also include a company car allowance.

Unless stated otherwise, all positions are based at Hinkley Point C in Somerset.

Somerset boasts beautiful English countryside, an attractive coastline, interesting towns and villages along with easy access to the M5 and within proximity to the cities of Bristol and Exeter.
