Job summary

DM Safety & Health Services is seeking a Temp Site Manager to support safe and effective delivery of site activities across client sites in the North West. The role is site-based with regional travel and starts soon, with a contract through March 2028 and potential for permanency.

You will provide day-to-day site management, coordinate shutdowns, ensure CDM 2015 and Health & Safety compliance, and work with contractors and client representatives to deliver projects safely and effectively.

Qualifications

• Recent and relevant site management experience.
• Valid SMSTS certificate.
• Strong knowledge of CDM 2015.
• Experience in industrial/engineering/manufacturing or construction environments.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety on active sites.
• Experience working with contractors and multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently on client sites.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day site management and coordination during planned shutdown periods.
• Support the delivery of shutdown and construction activities safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and Health & Safety requirements.
• Work closely with contractors, project teams and client representatives.
• Monitor site activities, identify risks and implement controls.
• Review RAMS, construction information and related documentation.
• Carry out site inspections and address H&S or compliance issues.
• Provide practical CDM and H&S advice to project teams.
• Maintain clear records and produce reports as required.

The Role

You'll be responsible for supporting the safe and effective delivery of site activities, working closely with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Providing day-to-day site management and coordination during planned shutdown periods
• Supporting the delivery of shutdown and construction activities safely and efficiently
• Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 and relevant Health & Safety requirements
• Working closely with contractors, project teams and client representatives
• Monitoring site activities, identifying risks and ensuring appropriate controls are in place
• Reviewing RAMS, construction information and other relevant documentation
• Carrying out site inspections and addressing any H&S or compliance issues
• Supporting project and construction teams with practical CDM and H&S advice
• Maintaining clear records and producing reports where required
  Helping ensure activities are properly planned, coordinated and delivered

About you

We're looking for someone with a strong practical site management and industrial/construction background.

You'll ideally have:

• Recent and relevant Site Management experience
• A valid SMSTS certificate
• Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015
• Experience working within an industrial, engineering, manufacturing or construction environment
• A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements on active sites
• Experience working with contractors and multiple project stakeholders
• The ability to work independently and confidently on a client site
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A practical, solutions-focused approach

Experience across design, manufacturing, construction and/or H&S would be particularly beneficial.

Location & working arrangements

This is a site-based position, with the successful candidate expected to be on the client site 5 days per week.

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be based within a reasonable commuting distance of Worksop and comfortable with the site-based requirements.
