Job summary

MCS Group has partnered with a leading retail organisation to recruit a Divisional Accountant to join their finance function in Belfast.

You will be responsible for financial performance and reporting across multiple business units, working closely with operational management and the finance leadership team. The role offers a base salary of £45,000–£62,500, a 10% annual bonus, hybrid working (3 days in the office) and a company car.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
• Strong commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing monthly management accounts, P&L and Balance Sheet reviews.
• Analyzing financial performance, profitability and working capital across the division.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Business partnering with operational management to provide commercial financial insight.
• Ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting and effective month-end processes.

Our client is a highly successful and well-established organisation with a significant presence across Northern Ireland and the wider UK. As part of the continued development of their finance function, they are seeking an experienced Accountant to take responsibility for the financial performance and reporting of a number of business units.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a commercially focused role, working closely with operational management and the wider finance leadership team.

The Rewards:

The Role:

As the successful Divisional Accountant, you will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager and will be responsible for:
