Days/Hours: Hybrid - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hrs per week (2 days WFH)
The Role:
Our client hosts one of the UK’s most exciting creative communities and is seeking a people-focused HR Generalist with strong D&I awareness, a practical mindset, and a passion for building inclusive systems that support everyone to thrive. This role will transition from the initial diagnostic phase to actively implementing and executing the D&I roadmap. You will support the People team with general HR responsibilities and lead initiatives that promote equity, inclusion, and belonging across the organization, contributing to the People Plan and organizational OKRs. The ideal candidate will use data-driven insights to inform strategy, measure impact, and deliver engaging training programs that empower employees to foster a more inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Implementation & Delivery:
- Transition from the diagnostic phase to lead the implementation of the agreed D&I roadmap, ensuring strategic goals are achieved.
- Develop, implement, and manage D&I initiatives that enhance engagement, belonging, and psychological safety both externally and internally.
- Support the Head of People in integrating D&I best practices into policies and processes, contributing directly to the People Plan and organizational OKRs.
- Lead key initiatives to support a culture of learning and development, including maximizing the use of the client’s learning system and devising competency frameworks. Tailor training to various audiences, from individual contributors to senior leaders.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate D&I training programs, including workshops, e-learning modules, and facilitated discussions.
Culture and Engagement:
- Support the development of focus groups aligned with the client’s DEI strategy.
- Provide guidance and resources to leaders to drive engagement and impact, addressing any inclusion and diversity concerns within the organization.
- Establish a framework for the client’s DIB values, ensuring integration into all organizational aspects.
- Analyze employee survey data, present findings, and develop action plans based on insights.
- Assist the Head of People in initiatives to improve wellbeing, engagement, retention, and development.
- Promote the client’s development tools to support ongoing communication and team/individual competency frameworks.
- Facilitate employee relations resolution, ensuring policy alignment and fostering a supportive workplace environment.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, pay, and performance management.
Data Analytics & Reporting:
- Analyze D&I data to track progress, measure impact, and identify improvement areas.
- Create dashboards and reports for leadership, highlighting key D&I metrics and trends.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in Diversity and Inclusion, with strong HR generalist background, ideally Level 5 CIPD.
- Experience as a D&I Lead, working with focus groups, employee engagement initiatives, or D&I campaigns.
- Strong influencing skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Highly organized, responsive, and capable of working autonomously under tight deadlines.
- Up-to-date knowledge of D&I practices and frameworks.
- Understanding of the broad DE&I agenda within the creative sector and its impact on the workforce, workplace, visitors, and community, with the ability to promote this understanding.
- Effective communication skills to engage individuals at all organizational levels, including executives, to raise awareness and secure buy-in.
- Empathetic, able to build trust and rapport with diverse groups.
- Strong relationship-building skills to achieve outcomes and make recommendations.
- Curious, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
