Job summary

Staffordshire County Council in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a site supervisor for the Staffordshire Moorlands Family Hub Team, Biddulph. The role is 37 hours per week with core hours Monday-Thursday 7am-3:30pm and Friday 7am-3pm, with occasional evenings and weekends and emergency call outs.

You will be responsible for opening/closing the building, health and safety, maintaining high standards, managing contractors, carrying out minor maintenance and cleaning to keep the hub presentable, and

Qualifications

  • Experience in caretaking or premises maintenance.
  • Flexible and team-oriented working style.
  • Willingness to attend trainings as required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Hands-on and practical with basic maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and travel around the county.

Responsibilities

  • Opening and closing of the building.
  • Building health and safety oversight.
  • Maintain high standards inside and at the external site.
  • Managing contractors on site.
  • Covering emergency call outs to site when required.
  • Carrying out small maintenance tasks.
  • Some cleaning to maintain presentation of the building.
  • Assist the team to prepare rooms in the Hub for sessions.

Job description

Staffordshire County Council,

We are looking for a site supervisor to join us at the Staffordshire Moorlands Family Hub Team, Biddulph.

We are looking for someone who can commit to the core hours outlined below but are willing to work flexibly to suit the needs of our service which may include some evening and weekend working.

This role is 37hrs a week, core hours being Monday - Thursday 7am - 3.30pm and Friday 7am-3pm.

Emergency call out also forms part of the role as outlined within the key accountabilities.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Opening and closing of the building
  • Building health and safety
  • Maintaining high standards both within the building and to the external site
  • Managing contractors
  • Covering emergency call outs to site when required
  • Small maintenance tasks
  • Some cleaning to maintain presentation of the building
  • Working with team to prepare rooms in the Hub for various sessions
The Ideal Candidate

You will be a;

  • Team player
  • Flexible
  • Experience working as a care taker or in premises maintenance
  • Able to attend training as required
  • Have excellent attention to detail and pride in their work
  • Have experience of being hands on and practical in performing basic maintenance tasks.
  • Have ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to travel around the County if required
