Job summary

Oxford Health is recruiting a District Nursing Lead (Advanced District Nurse Specialist) to drive the Anticipatory Care Model and lead District Nursing teams in delivering high-quality care at home and in clinics. The role requires autonomous clinical leadership, prescribing responsibilities, and delivering evidence-based pathways for complex cases.

Qualifications

• Advanced history taking or frailty assessment competence.
• DNSPQ qualification mandatory.
• Non-medical Prescriber (V300) or willingness to undertake module.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical leadership across District Nursing teams.
• Lead implementation of the national anticipatory care model.
• Collaborate with GPs and multi-professional teams to reduce hospital admissions.
• Deliver advanced clinical assessment, prescribing, and care pathway development.
• Supervise and support staff to deliver safe, effective care.
• Model professional standards and foster a culture of learning and quality.
