Job summary

Severn Trent Plc’s Hafren Dyfrdwy division is recruiting a Distribution Operative to operate and maintain the underground water network. You will perform repairs of mains and assets, lay and work on valves, and carry out excavation on sites and in the public highway.

You will be on a 24/7 on-call rota, outdoors in all weathers, with potential night work. A full UK driving licence is required to travel between depots and bases.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required to travel independently between depots/bases.
• Strong health and safety awareness and duty of care to colleagues and the public.
• Excellent customer-facing skills and willingness to serve communities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Hafren Dyfrdwy's Underground Water network.
• Repair and replace water mains and ancillary assets; work on valves and meters.
• Liaise with other teams and contract partners to resolve issues.
