Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Distribution Centre Operatives / Warehouse Operatives for our Client based in Manchester, Stretford, M32.

OPERATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Loading/unloading deliveries in accordance with operating and Health & Safety procedures.
2. Labelling and packaging goods.
3. Maintaining a tidy and safe workplace environment, adhering to clean as you go policy with a special focus on the company’s recycling and waste management program.
4. Ensuring that all Personal Protective Equipment is used, worn and maintained at all times and that all breaches in Health, Safety and Welfare are reported immediately to the management team.
5. Working efficiently to ensure daily departmental targets and Service Level Agreements are met.
6. Ensuring that all equipment is used in line with training provided.
7. Undertaking further operative duties of marshalling, cleaning, loading, pallet checking as required.
8. Maintaining highest security standards in the warehouse at all times.
9. Reporting any issues within the Distribution Centre to Management.

Role Requirements:

Skills & Knowledge

1. Relevant experience in a distribution centre, warehouse or supply chain environment.
2. Physically fit.
3. Understanding of service logistics and its requirements.
4. Experience operating Material Handling Equipment required to deliver operational requirements (desirable but not required, training will be provided).
5. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Shifts:

Monday to Friday
8:30- 17:00 (30 min unpaid break between 12:30 – 1:30)
40 hours per week
£11.44/hour

This is a temp role that might lead to permanent contract for the right candidates.
