Job summary

Clarks Distribution Centre in Street, Somerset is seeking an Inventory & Planning Manager to lead inventory control, planning and stock integrity across the distribution centre.

You will drive cycle counts, audits, variance investigations and KPI reporting using Power BI, Excel and ERP systems, partnering with Finance, Operations and Supply Chain teams to optimise warehouse performance and financial control.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations or supply chain planning.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accuracy across WMS, SAP and automated storage systems.
• Lead cycle counts, stock audits and reconciliation processes.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce stock loss and improve productivity.
• Coach, develop and performance manage the Inventory team.

The Role

The Inventory & Planning Manager provides leadership for inventory control, planning, stock integrity and warehouse optimisation activities across the distribution centre. The role ensures inventory accuracy, audit compliance, efficient warehouse utilisation and effective planning processes that support customer service, operational performance and financial control.

• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.
