Job summary

William Grant & Sons is seeking a proactive Distiller Operative to safely and efficiently run our distillation equipment, delivering high-quality spirits and upholding our standards of compliance and performance.

As part of a skilled production team, you will monitor and optimise the process, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement while embodying our values of collaboration, responsibility and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimise distillation processes to meet production schedule.
• Troubleshoot process issues and correct alarms.
• Monitor safety, quality and KPI parameters to stay within targets.
• Document process records from materials receipt to parameter logging.
• Enforce safety policies; issue Permit to Work; perform lock-out tag-out.
• Conduct OPC safety checks and housekeeping to maintain a safe workspace.
• Contribute to team meetings and share knowledge to improve processes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and HMRC regulations.
• Assist in Emergency Response scenarios.
• Promote a diverse and inclusive culture in line with WG&S values.
