Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard’s Transaction Services Team in the UK seeks an Assistant Team Leader to support Paralegals and Legal Apprentices within the Disputes sub-team. The role will be based in Leeds or Manchester, with occasional travel to other UK offices.

You will lead, coach and develop the team, coordinate workloads, quality-check deliverables and collaborate with partners to identify opportunities for improvement and new work.”

Qualifications

• Experience in disputes-related legal work, supervision or people management.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of high-performing individuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from internal clients, understand requirements and allocate resources.
• Coordinate workloads and oversee delivery of work across the Disputes sub-team.
• Implement quality-assurance checks on team output.
• Lead, coach and provide regular feedback to Legal Apprentices and Paralegals.
• Manage development plans and performance management approaches.
• Build relationships with lawyers and partners and promote new business opportunities.
• Support recruitment, team meetings and training, and deputise for the Team Leader.
