Job summary

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer in London seeks a dedicated paralegal to support a high-profile technology matter, providing logistics, document management and stakeholder coordination. This fixed-term contract offers exposure to complex disclosure processes in a leading international law firm.

You will create and manage documents, take accurate call notes, assist meetings, and liaise with internal teams and external parties while upholding the firm's standards of service and client care.

Qualifications

• Law degree or undergraduate degree (ideally 2:1 or first class honours).
• Exposure to civil litigation/disputes through degree / LPC / Bar Course / SQE or previous employment.
• Previous paralegal work (or similar) in civil disputes, ideally in a large law firm.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organisational skills, time management, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong typing skills to take accurate call notes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a large team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the logistics and administration of a complex disclosure process for a major technology company.
• Assist with preparation for meetings and hearings, including compiling and updating electronic document bundles, preparing agendas and collating speaking notes.
• Take accurate call notes.
• Create and manage legal documents and correspondence.
• Organise and maintain matter files on Google Documents and other systems.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support billing processes as required.
• Other paralegal tasks as required by the internal team.
