Job summary

Service Care Solutions are recruiting a Dispute Resolution Solicitor for an established law firm in Oldham. The role offers hybrid working and a varied caseload in general litigation, with progression opportunities within the Dispute Resolution department.

The successful candidate will handle disputes across contracts, employment, property and probate, draft documents, negotiate settlements and work autonomously to manage cases from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of general litigation and dispute resolution matters independently.
• Advise clients on disputes including contractual, employment, property and probate.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings and settlement agreements as appropriate.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients throughout the dispute resolution process.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues while maintaining autonomy and professional responsibility.

Service Care Solutions are delighted to be working with a well-established and reputable law firm in Oldham , who are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and ambitious Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator seeking a varied caseload, genuine career progression and the opportunity to play an active role in the continued success of a successful Dispute Resolution department.

Job Title: Dispute Resolution Solicitor
Location: Oldham/Hybrid
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working Pattern: Full-time or part-time

The successful candidate will join an established Dispute Resolution department, handling a varied caseload of general litigation matters for a range of existing clients. You will be expected to work autonomously, manage matters from inception through to conclusion and provide high-quality legal advice and representation. This role would suit a proactive and commercially minded solicitor who is keen to develop their practice, contribute to business growth and progress towards a senior leadership position.

Key responsibilities a Dispute Resolution Solicitor:

• Managing a varied caseload of general litigation and dispute resolution matters independently.
• Advising clients on a range of disputes, including contractual disputes, employment matters, property-related disputes and contentious probate.
• Drafting legal documents, correspondence, pleadings and settlement agreements where appropriate.
• Negotiating settlements and representing clients throughout the dispute resolution process.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues while maintaining a high level of autonomy and professional responsibility.

About you a Dispute Resolution Solicitor:

• Qualification as a Solicitor in England and Wales, with approximately 3 years PQE in dispute resolution or general litigation.
• Experience handling a broad range of litigation matters, including contractual disputes, employment, property disputes and/or contentious probate.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical and client-management skills.
• The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• A commercial mindset and an interest in business development and marketing.
