Job summary

Interlink Recruitment seeks an Insolvency Associate to join its established Dispute Resolution team in the UK. The role offers exposure to contentious insolvency matters and the chance to develop a specialist practice while building long‑term client relationships.

You will advise on administrations, winding-up petitions, antecedent transactions and director disqualification matters, supporting on court proceedings and mediations with a focus on high-quality drafting and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 1–5 years' PQE.
• Experience with insolvency litigation in court venues.
• Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple matters with good organisation.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Insolvency Associate to join an established Dispute Resolution team. The role offers exposure to a broad range of contentious insolvency and bankruptcy matters, with the opportunity to develop a specialist practice and build long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Act for insolvency office holders in both bankruptcy and corporate insolvency matters.
• Advise on antecedent transactions and void dispositions.
• Handle director disqualification matters and advise directors in the twilight zone, including defending claims brought by office holders.
• Advise on administrations, pre-packs and the sale of businesses through insolvency processes.
• Handle winding-up and bankruptcy petitions on behalf of both debtors and creditors.
• Assist with the realisation of assets, including court applications for possession of residential property.
• Draft correspondence, witness statements and other legal documentation.
• Conduct legal research and prepare advice for clients.
• Attend mediations, conferences, hearings and client meetings.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business development and networking initiatives.

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales, ideally with 1-5 years' PQE.
• Experience of court litigation procedures, particularly the Insolvency and Companies Court and County Courts.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and matter management abilities.
• Commercially aware with a client-focused approach.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong academics and attention to detail.
• Proactive, resilient and comfortable managing competing priorities.
• An interest in developing your own network and specialist insolvency practice.
