Job summary

Boots Opticians is seeking a qualified Dispensing Optician to deliver high-level customer care and expert advice in-store. You will report to the Store Manager and provide clinical support for regulated dispensing while guiding the Optical team to deliver excellent service.

You will listen to customers, help them select eyewear, and ensure the best product fit. The role also requires supporting compliant store operations and offering specialist knowledge when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Must complete CPD training as part of GOC requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support in store for regulated dispensing.
• Inspire the Optical team by sharing knowledge for best service.
• Listen to customers and offer expertise and advice.
• Help customers choose the correct eyewear and provide guidance for best product fit.
• Support the team to deliver an efficient day-to-day model and compliant operations.

As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you will be providing a high level of customer care and expert advice to make a real difference to our customers and keep them coming back. You will work in one of our stores, reporting to the Store Manager.

• Providing clinical support in store for regulated dispensing
• Inspiring your Optical team by sharing your knowledge to offer the very best service.
• Listening to the needs of customers and offer expertise and advice.
• Helping our customers to choose the correct eyewear and offer guidance to ensure our customers receive the best product suited to their needs.
• Supporting the team to deliver an efficient model day and operational processes to ensure that the business trades legally.
• Providing expert knowledge for patients with more specialist requirements.

What you'll need to have (our must-haves)

• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
• Passion for your own learning and development, completing all CPD training as part of the GOC requirement.
