Job description

Ready to revolutionize healthcare, making it faster and more accessible than ever before?

How we started:

Back in 2013, our founder Dwayne D’Souza saw an opportunity to give people faster and more convenient access to medications using technology. We've grown rapidly since our inception, without any external funding whatsoever – achieving profitability through innovation and a highly disciplined approach to growth.

Where we are now:

We’ve earned the trust of millions of people worldwide through our top-selling products and well-known brands: MedExpress, Dermatica, ZipHealth, RocketRX, and Levity. A lot of our success is down to having our own pharmacies, manufacturers and products – spearheaded by leading in-house medical teams, researchers and pharmacists. Our 2023 global revenue was $80m, and we’re set to more than double this in 2024 as we look to surpass $200m and positively impact the daily lives of more people than ever before. There’s never been a more exciting time to join HeliosX.

Where we’re going:

Over the next five years, you’ll support our goal to become a world-leading healthcare partner, deepening our customer relationships, expanding into new countries, and diversifying our product portfolio to treat more conditions. You’ll be part of helping more people access prescription treatments and, most importantly, making personalised care better, quicker and easier for everyone.

Come be a part of making our dream of easier and faster healthcare a reality!

About the role:

We are looking for an organised and committed Dispensing Assistant to join our MedExpress/Levity Pharmacy Team at our brand new warehouse in Leamington Spa. Due to the success our weight loss service has had in 2024, we are opening a second Dispensary and Warehouse in January 2025. This exciting role will play a pivotal part in the continued success of our weight loss brands into 2025 and beyond. As the Dispensing Assistant you'll be Dispensing GLP1 medication, printing Medication labels and printing GP letters.

You will be working closely with our Pharmacist and packing teams to ensure all GLP-1 weight loss orders are dispensed and dispatched on time, to meet company targets and achieve customer satisfaction goals. If you enjoy working cross-departmentally and are a self-starter with strong communication skills this role would suit you perfectly.

The role will be 8am-8pm, with a rolling schedule of 4 days on 4 days off.

Responsibilities:

  • Select and label pharmaceutical products in accordance with a prescription by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complying with all legal requirements.
  • Ensure the safe and accurate dispatch of dispensed items to patients.
  • Accurately maintain Patient Medication Records (PMR) to ensure patient safety and in accordance with data protection requirements.
  • Identify medicine-related problems or queries and bring these to the attention of the Responsible Pharmacist.
  • Assist with stock control and receive stock in accordance with SOPs.
  • Ensure the safe and appropriate storage of medicines.
  • Perform daily stock date checks to ensure ready treatments are correctly dispensed.
  • Perform daily stock checks to ensure levels of treatments are adequate to pharmacy's requirements.
  • Process returned orders and log the stock in issues log.
  • Ensure GP letters are sent out and reach out to patients in a timely manner.
  • Organise batch sheets considering treatment's expiry dates.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • You'll be working towards or have completed an accredited NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) Dispensing Assistant training course under the guidance of the Responsible Pharmacist or ACT.
  • A keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills and have a high level of accuracy.
  • IT literate and familiar with Windows based computer systems.
  • Able to handle a high volume of dispensing in our busy warehouse.
  • Previous experience working in a pharmacy or similar environment is a bonus.
