The hourly rate for this role is £13.32 and up to £15.05 across selected locations within London.

About the opportunity

As a Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.

Within the healthcare department, you will build great relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs. Your duties include greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and providing advice to support patients in making informed health decisions. This role is based in-store within the UK; remote applicants and candidates outside the UK without relevant UK qualifications and right to work will not be considered.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Dispensing prescriptions safely, including ordering medicines, labelling, endorsing, and collection of prescriptions.
  2. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
  3. Providing care and advice to patients about medicines, referring queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
  4. Following SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
  5. Keeping up-to-date with innovations and complying with operational processes.
  6. Supporting patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
  7. Working with new technologies to improve patient safety and efficiency in dispensing processes.

You will receive regular training to develop your healthcare knowledge and have opportunities for career progression, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or in store leadership.

Requirements:
  1. Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
  2. Current and valid UK right to work. Note: this role is not eligible for sponsorship.

Preferred:

  1. Experience in community pharmacy.
