The hourly rate for this role is £13.32 and up to £15.05 across selected locations within London.

About the opportunity

As a Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.

In this role, you will build relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs, greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, and providing advice to support their health and wellness decisions. You will work in-store within the UK, and remote applicants or those outside the UK without relevant qualifications and right to work will not be considered.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Prescription dispensing ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collection of prescriptions.
  2. Assist in managing and delivering pharmacy services alongside healthcare professionals.
  3. Provide care and advice about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
  4. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for safe and legal dispensing.
  5. Stay updated with store innovations and operational processes.
  6. Support patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.

Opportunities include working with new technologies to improve patient safety and developing your healthcare knowledge through training and career progression options, such as training as a Pharmacy Technician or store leadership roles.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working towards and completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
  • Current and valid UK right to work; sponsorship is not available for this role.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience working in community pharmacy.
