Crem Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Dispatch Operative in Mildenhall to join a busy warehouse team. You will pick, check and prepare orders for dispatch, handle heavy materials, and load/unload vehicles using a counterbalance forklift. You will operate the forklift safely, pack goods securely, complete paperwork, and maintain a clean, organised warehouse. Teamwork is crucial to meet delivery schedules and dispatch deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or dispatch experience.
• Experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
• Good attention to detail when picking and checking orders.
• Comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Picking, checking and preparing customer and branch orders for dispatch
• Carrying out regular heavy lifting and manual handling of plumbing and building materials
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles using a counterbalance forklift
• Operating the forklift safely and in accordance with company and health and safety procedures
• Ensuring goods are securely packed and correctly labelled
• Completing dispatch paperwork and maintaining accurate records
• Carrying out daily forklift safety checks and reporting any defects
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse and yard
• Working as part of a team to meet delivery schedules and dispatch deadlines
