Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency is seeking a Dispatch Manager in Verwood to take full ownership of the despatch operation within an engineering-focused environment. You will lead a team, prioritise delivery deadlines, and drive performance with autonomy and strong internal collaboration.

The role requires leadership, strong organisational ability, attention to detail, and good IT proficiency, including Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

Leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
Confident, proactive communicator across teams and levels.
Background in engineering, manufacturing or logistics is desirable but not essential.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the despatch department.
Prioritise workload to ensure all customer delivery deadlines are met.
Supervise, support and develop your team to maximise performance.
Oversee accurate preparation, invoicing and despatch of all customer orders.
Coordinate subcontract treatment processes and maintain accurate despatch and treatment records.
Respond quickly to changing production and customer priorities.
