Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking an Information Governance professional to support the disclosure of council records for police investigations and subject access requests under data protection laws. You will review sensitive records, determine relevant information, and prepare disclosures in line with legal and council requirements.

You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure lawful, accurate and timely responses.

Qualifications

• Experience in disclosure work including subject access requests.
• Ability to explain any decision to withhold information.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Review sensitive and complex council records to identify relevant information for disclosures.
• Assist police disclosures where information may support investigations.
• Process subject access requests in line with data protection legislation and council procedures.
• Maintain clear records of decisions, searches undertaken and information disclosed or withheld.
