Job summary

Mersey West Lancashire NHS Trust is seeking an Operational Flow Administrator for Whiston Hospital on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This part-time role of 22.5 hours per week will support the Discharge Lounge, helping patients and staff to ensure smooth discharge processes.

The post requires good organisational skills, reliability, and the ability to work both in a team and independently. NHS environment experience is desirable, with commitment to patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent qualification and/or experience.
• RSA/OCR III and/or equivalent qualification and/or experience.
• Experience working in an NHS environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing general administrative and clerical support to the Discharge Lounge team.
• Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries.
• Supporting communication between ward staff, the Discharge Lounge and other hospital teams.
• Helping with everyday tasks to keep the service organised and running efficiently.
