Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Barnstaple is seeking a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the Discharge Hub. The role focuses on safe, timely discharge from inpatient wards, ED and assessment areas, ensuring patient safety and high-quality nursing care while patients await final steps of discharge.

The post involves primarily night shifts (19:00–07:30) with possible long day coverage (07:00–19:30).

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience in discharge planning and patient flow.
• Ability to supervise colleagues and maintain high standards of care.

Responsabilités

• Support safe, timely discharge of patients from inpatient wards, ED and assessment areas.
• Contribute to a calm, safe environment for patients awaiting medications or transport.
• Deliver hands-on clinical care and act as a positive role model for staff.
• Work flexibly across shifts, including nights and long days to support 24/7 operations.
